Job Summary The hospitalist advanced practice nurse or clinical nurse specialist will provide on‑going patient care, administer and evaluate treatment, maintain medical records, and collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients. The position requires independent judgment and adherence to organizational policies and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Administer and evaluate patient care in a hospital setting.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and referring providers to establish effective working relationships.
Utilize independent judgment to adapt medical techniques to individual patient needs.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing.
Licensed by Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Certification by a national certifying body with prescriptive privileges.
ACLS certification.
Three to five years of hospital medicine experience preferred.
Physical & Safety Requirements
Must have ability to stand, walk, sit, push and pull, handle, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to biological hazards, unpleasant odors, airborne and infectious materials.
Adherence to St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy and safety protocols.
