Managing Director, Group Manager – Pacific Rim Division Join BMO U.S. as a Managing Director, Group Manager to lead our Pacific Rim division. You will drive high‑performance sales, expand client portfolios, and generate meaningful growth within the U.S. market.

Responsibilities

Act as escalation point for complex client issues, maintaining strong relationships.

Lead structuring of high‑value, complex deals and credit approvals, ensuring alignment with client needs.

Manage high‑value client portfolios, driving cross‑selling, retention, and profitability.

Identify new business opportunities, acquire clients, penetrate markets, and expand the client base through market insights, competitor analysis, and cross‑selling initiatives.

Develop communication strategies to influence stakeholders and support organizational change.

Build interdependent teams that collaborate across functional groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders.

Attract, retain, and enable the career development of top talent.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Relationship Management, Account Management or Portfolio Management in a corporate banking environment with sales metrics.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. CPA certification preferred.

Deep experience working with Asian‑owned and Asian‑led businesses, with strong preference for candidates partnered closely with Japanese companies.

Bi‑lingual in an Asian language preferred (Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese).

Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, centers of influence, and key market stakeholders.

Strong leadership skills and experience leading high‑performing teams.

Compensation Base salary: $164,400 – $285,600 (salaried). Total compensation may include commission, bonuses, and benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
