Position Overview:
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center invite applications for a Fellowship‑trained neurovascular/stroke neurologist to join the Neurology Department.
Applicants must be eligible for board certification in neurology and neurovascular neurology, and will serve on a clinical faculty track at an open rank.
The role involves primary neurovascular service, consultation, telestroke, outpatient clinic, teaching, supervision of trainees, and scholarly activity.
Responsibilities:
Evaluation and treatment of patients with neurovascular disorders.
Staffing the neurovascular primary and consultation services.
Staffing the telestroke network.
Staffing outpatient neurovascular clinics.
Supervising trainees in neurovascular disorder assessments – including medical students, residents, and fellows.
Developing partnerships with referring physicians and hospitals in the community.
Clinical and didactic teaching as required.
Requirements:
MD or equivalent.
Completed one or more years of neurovascular fellowship training prior to joining.
ABPN neurology board certified or eligible to be certified within two years of the end of neurology training.
ABPN neurovascular board eligible by the end of fellowship training.
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio (or ability to obtain prior to appointment).
Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment that includes medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers.
Outstanding clinical teaching skills, bedside manner, and professionalism.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
