Overview
VA New England Healthcare System (VA-NE) seeks to fill various full- and part‑time Primary Care Physician opportunities in the New England area. VA-NE is comprised of eight robust medical centers and associated community‑based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) located in West Haven, Connecticut; Bedford, Massachusetts; Boston, Massachusetts; Leeds, Massachusetts; Augusta, Maine; Manchester, New Hampshire; Providence, Rhode Island; and White River Junction, Vermont.
Mission VA New England leads the VHA’s Primary Care initiative in employing the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model to leverage evidence‑based standardized health care practices toward optimizing the unique contributions of each discipline on the PACT. The team empowers patients to take charge of their health and well‑being by offering complimentary and integrative health care approaches that enhance self‑empowerment, self‑healing, and self‑care. Our smaller panel sizes, wide array of support services and virtual care options provide more flexibility for patients to engage in their own health care and with their team.
Primary Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic work‑up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting.
Work collaboratively with other health care professionals to accomplish patient, service, and medical center goals, promoting and embracing the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model of care, utilizing Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, Excellence (ICARE) values throughout the clinic.
Qualifications
Full, unrestricted medical license.
Board Certification preferred but not required.
