Surgical Technician – Operating Room – Providence Saint John’s Health Center, Santa Monica, CA. Full‑time, 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties Under the supervision of the circulating registered nurse and in partnership with service‑line coordinators, clinical supervisors, and the surgery manager, the Surgical Technologist II:
Ensures the availability, functionality, and sterility of OR supplies and equipment before each case.
Scrubs and handles instruments during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique at all stages.
Provides competent scrub services for the broad range of procedures performed in at least five of the eight core service‑line clusters.
Assists coordinators in receiving and stocking supplies/equipment for specialty clusters.
Supports the Magnet journey and maintains high standards of clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited surgical technologist course (not required if you possess more than 10 years of experience).
High School Diploma or GED.
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
At least 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist, capable of scrubbing all regularly performed procedures in five of the eight core service‑line clusters (cardiac, thoracic/vascular, orthopedics, spine, general/urology/gynecology, EENT/plastics/maxillofacial, neuro, robotics). Three of those clusters must be general/urology/gynecology, orthopedics, and spine.
For internal candidates, the minimum experience requirement may be waived if the ability to scrub in the aforementioned service lines is demonstrated.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field.
Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.

Compensation Base pay range: $34.22 – $49.29 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
