General Duties
Patient Care: Provide quality care, respond to patient calls, attend to patients, maintain records, observe for abuse/neglect, recognize emergencies and respond appropriately according to policies.
Patient Access: Participate in a physician call schedule evenly distributed among providers and offer patient meeting slots as designed.
Safety and Infection Control Standards: Assist in compliance with safety, environmental, infection control, quality improvement and other regulatory standards; implement precautions; maintain a clean clinic environment; report safety hazards.
Medical Director Duties (if applicable): Ensure provider compliance, communicate concerns to administration, develop and maintain work and call schedules.
Experience Qualifications
Completed residency training.
Education Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy.
Licenses and Certifications
American Heart Association, Basic Life Support-HCP, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
Medical Physician Licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
Skills and Abilities
Medical skills.
Computer software skills.
ICD‑10 and CPT‑4 working knowledge.
