Superintendent – Multifamily Renovation / Redevelopment Construction
Compensation: $80,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr (pay range is provided by Nautilus General Contractors, Inc.)
Responsible for the successful implementation of a construction project by maintaining primary oversight of all construction activities on site. This includes coordinating and managing subcontractors, vendors, labor compliance, project budget, project schedule, jobsite safety, and Nautilus’ onsite personnel.
Responsibilities
Maintain primary responsibility for all construction work performed in the field on assigned projects.
Responsible for site safety and security. Ensures that all safety measures and/or legal standards are consistently adhered to.
Oversee, manage, and supervise all subcontractors and vendors on site.
Give leadership to and be present on job sites.
Oversee, manage, and supervise all Nautilus field labor on project site. Organize the construction crew to allocate work according to schedule.
Ensure that all construction activities are adhering to designs perfectly, as per the schedule, plan, budget, details, specifications and scope of work.
Coordinate with the project design team and support staff as necessary.
Assist Project Manager with the preparation of documents such as investigation reports, letters, photos, etc. Assist Project Manager with client contact, communication, and relationships.
Assist the Project Manager in managing the project schedule.
Perform quality checks regularly to maintain company work standards on project sites.
Photo‑document work at key‑points on job.
Keep accurate daily records, including daily reports of work performed on site.
Ensure quality of work standards are met.
Identify problems or potential problems on site and report them to superiors (Project Managers, General Superintendent, Director of Construction, as appropriate).
Regularly use Procore software to document and record construction activities.
Coordinate job site inspections with city officials, design professionals, manufacturer’s representatives, or third‑party testing/inspection vendors as required.
Work Conditions / Requirements
Majority of time to be spent on‑site or traveling between various projects.
Position Type
Full‑time, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule; evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely navigate around an active construction site.
Ability to work using computer and phone.
Travel
Regular travel via car to project work sites.
