Job Description The Director, Program Management (PM) is a critical and valued position within the ModeX development team. The primary role of this position includes leading the development team with program head in developing the project strategy, operational and implementation plan, coordinating across development functions, and ensuring timely and on‑budget execution of the operational plan.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Project Leaders to develop and shape project development strategy (including long‑range plan), operational and implementation strategy, ensure communication and alignment with executive leadership.
Build a comprehensive project plan including timelines, budget, resources and key milestones for value inflection.
Organize and ensure effective project team and team collaborations, monitor and ensure execution and alignment across functions.
Build operational excellence, and foster collaborative and supportive team culture.
Develop project risk assessment, management and mitigation plans.
Collaborate with finance director to develop and implement project budget and monitor execution.
Work with functional SMEs to develop the resourcing plan and serve as a point of escalation for CRO‑related issues, as needed.
Communicate with executive leaders to ensure transparency throughout the course of the development, proactively communicate updates on timeline and budget, and work with Project leaders to ensure strategic alignment and adaptations.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in sciences required.
10‑12+ years of relevant professional experience including: 10+ years in biopharma/biotech industry; 5+ years of experience in clinical development; experiences in clinical trial execution in the oncology and/or autoimmune disease areas are desirable.
Advanced skills and experience in project management, and usage of relevant tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or AI enabling tools.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and supporting financial decision‑making.
Excellent teamwork, communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
