Location:
New Haven, CT - Hybrid (May fully remote possible for the right candidate)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Environment Release Manager to support day-to-day operations of both production and non-production environments, including batch processes and software releases. This role will manage environment cycles, coordinate with developers to resolve issues, and support testing and deployment activities for enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage non-prod and prod environment cycles, batch jobs, and deployment activities.
Support mainframe operations, data movement (FTP), and administrative systems.
Troubleshoot using SQL (AQT), workload automation (CA ESP), and scripting tools (OpenText, PowerShell, Python).
Coordinate with developers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Develop deployment plans, manage releases, and document processes.
Perform regression testing, root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
5–8 years in environment management, scheduling, and mainframe operations.
Hands-on experience with CA Workload Automation ESP Edition and SQL (AQT).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Preferred: Experience in life insurance systems (Ingenium, Life70).
BS/BA in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
