Role Description
This is a part‑time or full‑time, on‑site role for a Family Physician or Family Nurse Practitioner at Oyster Point Family Practice in Newport News, VA. The provider will be responsible for comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness in patients of all ages. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, managing urgent care needs, diagnosing and managing common acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma. The provider will demonstrate clinical competence, emphasizing community health initiatives, and practicing family medicine to promote overall wellness.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Primary Care and Family Medicine
Experience managing Urgent Care and Community Health needs
Strong expertise in diverse areas of Medicine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP‑C)
Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Virginia
Commitment to patient‑centered care and collaboration within a medical team
