Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Sr. Clinical Research Finance Coordinator supports the Clinical Research Office and, with minimal direction and considerable use of independent judgment, will utilize financial concepts, communication skills, and experience/knowledge of the clinical research enterprise to provide clinical research finance services. This role will support the development of projects and processes from study initiation through completion by collaborating with investigators and other stakeholders. This position will require excellent communication and organizational skills, and solid foundational, financial, and operational knowledge in clinical research. Works efficiently to ensure accounts are worked thoroughly and within a timely manner.
Assists department, service line, or strategic focus area with administrative and financial activities associated with research or other sponsored projects, including budget-to-actual analyses and financial projections. Performs accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks for study fund accounts and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience in a related field and minimum of 2+ years clinical research experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, accounting software, and excellent with databases.
Ability to work accurately in a high-volume processing environment under pressure and on deadline.
Knowledge in EPIC, Velos and Lawson preferred.
