We’re seeking a passionate
Level 1 Software Development Engineer
to join our DTC streaming team. This role is perfect for a tennis-obsessed problem-solver eager to blend software development, QA, and innovation. You’ll report directly to the VP of Product, contributing to a seamless streaming experience while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. If you’re energized by grand slams, debugging, and building fan‑first solutions, this is your court!
This role is based in our state‑of‑the‑art office in Santa Monica, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing:
Develop and execute automated/manual test plans to ensure platform reliability.
Identify, document, and track bugs, working closely with engineers to resolve issues.
Validate new features (e.g., live streaming, interactive elements) for performance and usability.
Debugging & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across frontend, backend, and APIs.
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize streaming performance.
Special Projects:
Support new feature development, third‑party integrations, and proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
Explore innovative solutions to enhance user engagement (e.g., real‑time stats, personalized content).
Collaboration & Documentation:
Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to refine requirements and deliverables.
Maintain clear documentation for code, processes, and testing protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Foundational skills in programming (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java) and version control (Git)
Familiarity with QA tools (Selenium, Postman) and debugging techniques
Must be an avid tennis fan with knowledge of the sport’s landscape
Strong communication skills and a team‑first mindset
Curiosity to learn streaming technologies (e.g., video players, CDNs)
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or DevOps practices
Experience in media/streaming or fast‑paced startup environments
Understanding of agile methodologies

The base salary compensation range for this role is $99,000 to $110,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full‑time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
