As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, debugging, and supporting custom electronics solutions for cutting‑edge life science research platforms. You’ll drive the transition of designs into manufacturing and lead hardware development efforts that directly contribute to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes. Your expertise will set the benchmark for quality through robust testing strategies, risk assessments, and failure analysis.

The position requires strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering, including experience with microcontroller‑based systems, communication protocols, and safety standards. Collaboration across cross‑functional teams is essential to shape product concepts, system architecture, and testing frameworks. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Design, debug, and support custom electronics solutions used in our life science research platforms.

Support transfer to manufacturing of designs currently transitioning to production.

Travel to vendors and satellite locations (domestic) 10‑15% of the time; occasional international travel may also be necessary.

Spearhead the development of hardware products that advance healthcare research and treatments, leading to better outcomes and quality of life for millions.

Set the standard for quality by generating testing strategies, performing root‑cause failure analysis, and developing design risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Apply electrical engineering principles to develop cost‑effective, reliable, and high‑quality systems that satisfy customer needs and business requirements.

Participate in product concepting and creation, collaborating cross‑functionally to develop system requirements, architecture definitions, system‑level and reliability test plans, and traceability of testing to requirements.

What You Bring

Education/Work Experience: BSEE plus 8+ years of relevant experience.

Lab instrumentation design experience a plus.

Familiar with CAN, I2C, RS485, USB; experience designing microcontroller‑based solutions.

Knowledge of applicable Safety and EMC requirements (EN61010, EN61326) is required.

Proficient in CAD (Altium) and MS Office tools.

SAP experience a plus.

Experience with opto‑electronics (APDs, lasers/laser diodes) and high‑impedance amplifier design a plus.

Compensation The estimated base salary range for this position is $119,700 to $164,600 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer. The position is eligible for a variable annual bonus based on individual objectives and company performance.
