VP, Market Operations (Must Live In Massachusetts, Preferred Experience With Managed Care & P&L Strategy) - R10832 Join as the Vice President, Market Operations at CareSource. This role is responsible for developing overall market program strategy, leading collaboration to position CareSource as an industry leader in member and provider engagement, experience, and plan management.

Job Summary The Vice President, Market Operations leads market program strategy and business objectives; translates vision into operational tactics and builds organizational support.

Essential Functions

Develop overall market program strategy and business objectives; lead alignment and collaboration to establish CareSource as industry leader.

Translate business/program vision and strategy into operational tactics, building necessary organizational support and infrastructure.

In new markets, lead program implementation, allocate resources, facilitate ongoing operations, and establish post‑implementation strategy and goals to mitigate program risks.

Oversee day‑to‑day program operations for the market, establishing and overseeing controls to ensure requirements are in place.

Lead regular market business reviews with stakeholders (HR, IT, finance, business partner group, quality improvement, care management) to ensure market requirements are met.

Develop, translate, and execute key strategies or functional/operational requirements for the market.

Facilitate leadership team in establishing organizational goals and priorities.

Ensure market operations achieve short‑ and long‑term strategic priorities with maximum effectiveness and efficiency.

Oversee allocation of staffing resources and responsibilities for market operations.

Initiate and oversee operational plans and initiatives to create cross‑functional capabilities across key functional areas.

Collaborate with corporate compliance to maintain contract compliance and responsiveness; develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory environment and transform procedures into policies and outcomes.

Collaborate with Finance and Data Management to develop internal reporting for ongoing management and external reporting for compliance.

Work with management to oversee departmental finances/budget and sales forecast/budget to meet targets.

Perform any other job duties as requested.

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in finance, business, or health care field or equivalent work experience is required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Five (5) years of health plan operations (claims, enrollment, provider agreements) experience required.

Five (5) years of leading division and corporate initiatives to drive systemic change and consumer adoption of health insurance and engagement initiatives required.

Five years of management experience in a managed care setting required.

Competencies, Knowledge & Skills

Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of full range of product requirements from regulatory, operations, clinical, reporting and compliance.

Working Conditions

General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to travel as required by the needs of the business.

Compensation Range $150,000 – $300,000. CareSource offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including base salary and performance‑based bonus.
