Responsibilities

Provide on‑site leadership and coordination for multiple civil construction crews to meet or exceed project production goals.

Ensure adherence to company and OSHA safety policies, conducting daily safety briefings and inspections.

Oversee completion of daily job reports, crew hours, and equipment tracking using HCSS Heavy Job software.

Manage the installation of water, storm sewer, and sewer pipe, concrete structures, or any other civil site specific projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Conduct hiring interviews and make recommendations for promotions or terminations of crew members.

Coordinate material ordering and maintain company truck service and supplies.

Travel between various job sites.

Facilitate completion of safety forms and maintain compliance with required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Must‑Have Skills

Proven leadership experience managing crews in civil construction projects.

Strong working knowledge of construction site safety, OSHA requirements, and road safety regulations.

Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Job or comparable construction management software.

Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Ability to work extended hours, travel locally as needed, and perform physically demanding tasks in varying outdoor conditions.

Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Successful completion of 30 Hour OSHA training and First Aid/CPR certification prior to start.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate.

Experience conducting interviews, onboarding, and crew development.

Familiarity with truck maintenance and material logistics.

Additional certifications or specialized training relevant to civil construction.

Adaptability for working flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends if needed.
