As our Rental Associate, you will serve as the face of Guitar Center in the store, greeting customers, qualifying their needs, matching their need to the right product, and pitching and overcoming objections to close the sale.
Key Responsibilities
Directly responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the rentals department
Clientel/Build relationships with customers to fulfill future service needs and create repeat customers
Contact local vendors and companies via phone and email to drive business needs
Reach sales targets on services
Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers
Work cross‑functionally with sales associates to support customers and guide them through the sales process as needed
Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Previous experience in retail operations and/or sales or previous experience within a rental business
Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service
Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
Must be able to pull and lift gear that weighs up to 40 lbs
Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferences
Intermediate knowledge of Musical Instruments sold within Guitar Center (Guitars, Drums, Tech, etc.)
Previous experience with Livesound & Backline
