Main Responsibilities Leadership

Collaborate with other department heads to align grocery initiatives with overall store objectives.

Procurement and Vendor Management

Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing a wide range of grocery products, including non-perishable items.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and oversee supplier performance.

Inventory Control

Implement measures to control inventory levels, minimizing excess or obsolete stock.

Develop and execute inventory replenishment strategies, monitor stock rotation, and ensure product freshness.

Merchandise Assortment

Oversee the product assortment within the grocery department, ensuring it aligns with customer preferences and market trends.

Utilize data-driven insights to make decisions about product assortment.

Cost Management

Analyze cost structures, implement cost-saving initiatives, and conduct price benchmarking to optimize costs.

Ensure cost-saving measures do not compromise product quality.

Team Leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.

Proven experience in retail grocery merchandising and vendor management.
