Position Overview NTT is hiring a highly energetic
Network and Security Operations Director
in our Global Operations Center. Our Leadership is responsible for managing large enterprise network, security, and cloud environments. This Director is a Technical Leader responsible to supervise planning, monitoring, management, troubleshooting and resolution of network and security incidents. This role requires technical hands‑on and managerial background in networking, security, and cloud infrastructure. This Director will work within a team of network engineers, security engineers, automation engineers, change coordinators, project managers, Account Team members and vendors to support NTT Global Network’s customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for managing large Enterprise networks including SDWAN, WAN, LAN, Wireless, VoIP, Security, and Cloud services
Provide support with monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution of network, security, and cloud functionality issues
Serve as management escalation point for complex issues including high‑impact incidents, service outages, and chronic problems
Serve as escalation point with underlay ISPs and network vendors for complex network issues including high‑impact incidents, service outages, planned and unplanned maintenance, chronic problems, and changes
Lead regular operational review meetings with leading ISP and network vendors including service performance, SLA and KPI analysis, chronic issues, changes and maintenances, process improvements etc.
Supervise changes and maintenances
Develop, implement, and supervise operational support processes
Generate root cause analysis reports post high‑impacting incidents and changes.
Lead customer infrastructure optimization efforts including security hardening, code management, vulnerability management, configuration remediation, and standardization
Supervise technology implementation projects, including testing, configuration, implementation, and user acceptance testing
Manage network/security/cloud‑based configuration, code, and design reviews; Develop detailed health assessment and remediation deployment plans
Implement and supervise AI‑driven automation to proactively identify network performance issues, security incidents, issue mitigation, and reduce manual intervention across edge and cloud environments
Lead new Customer infrastructure management transitions
Manage skills training program consisting of internal trainers and vendor training to ensure team members are proficient in new technologies
On‑call for escalated Customer issues
Required Skills and Experience
A minimum of five years of engineering experience with strong hands‑on network, security, and application troubleshooting experience; Combined with a minimum of five years management experience
Detailed technical experience in the operational support of SDWAN, WAN, LAN, Switch, Wireless, VoIP, NAC, DNS/DHCP, IP Address Management, and Cloud‑based services
Experience managing MPLS technologies including L3VPN, L2VPN, and VPLS as well as Internet based WAN connectivity solutions including DIA, Broadband, Fixed Wireless, 4G/LTE/5G, and Satellite
Knowledgeable of leading products including Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Silverpeak, Palo Alto, Arista, and Fortinet.
Knowledgeable of IP networking protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
Understanding of network layer technologies and controls, including routing, segmentation, virtualization, and traffic engineering
Experience with deployment and management of cloud infrastructure including AWS, MS Azure, OpenStack, CloudStack, Netskope, Prisma, ZScaler, and Virtual Private Cloud
Experience managing SASE/SSE components including SDWAN, Cloud Firewall, Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, Zero Trust Network Access, and DNS Security.
Experience with deployment and management of Firewall/IDS/IPS solutions including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, and Checkpoint
Experience with IPSec, secure network connectivity solutions, VPN technologies such as site‑to‑site and remote access, load‑balancing, and network access control technologies
Knowledgeable of network automation frameworks, API programmability including REST, RESTCONF, and NETCONF
Knowledgeable of automation and scripting languages such as Python and Perl
Knowledge of security compliance standards and frameworks such as GDPR, SOC2, and guidelines in major industry verticals
Ability to engage in technical discussions with enterprise customer network and security Directors and CIOs
Excellent computer skills including Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems
Additional Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
Passionate about Customer support
Familiarity with enterprise security controls and security best practices
Track record of getting things done quickly and with quality
Ability to manage multiple projects while aligning to resources, priorities, and timelines
Travel to Customer locations
Prior experience working on global teams that provide 24x7 support to customers
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to accommodate global team
Ability to work effectively with customers, senior management, staff, and vendors
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
