The Opportunity Lead the IT strategy execution PMO, define and manage a robust IT portfolio process, drive contemporary IT process implementation, and oversee IT compliance and employee development. Report directly to the CIO. This position requires strategic thinking, large‑program delivery experience, IT portfolio management, and business process management in a regulated environment. Remote work is available; preferred location is Eastern or Central time zone.

How You’ll Spend Your Day Strategy

Lead the IT strategy execution PMO, delivering workstreams on plan and working with leaders to define and manage metrics linked to business and customer value.

Maintain the IT strategy roadmap in alignment with changing business needs and priorities.

Develop and maintain an IT master plan of programs and strategic activities, aligning all units and initiatives with the approved portfolio.

Resolve conflicts, align major dependencies, and oversee IT performance governance.

Portfolio Management

Implement and manage a rigorous IT portfolio prioritization and management process.

Collaborate with IT stakeholder managers and BU stakeholders to prioritize high‑impact investments.

Manage overall IT portfolio capacity (opex and capex, resources) with Finance and HR partners, review regularly with the ITLT, and address gaps and conflicts.

IT Processes and Compliance

Modernize IT methodology, establish standardized core processes to improve speed, quality, and compliance.

Oversee coordination with Procurement for vendor management.

Coordinate IT compliance efforts to strengthen posture and culture.

Chief of Staff and People Development

Work with Corporate Communications on IT communications, event planning, and presentations.

Plan and manage ITLT agendas and actions.

Oversee global IT training and people development with the IT HR business partner.

Your Experience And Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. in computer science, engineering, operations research or related fields.

Master’s degree (MBA or MS in IT Management) preferred.

Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, etc. preferred.

10+ years of cross‑functional IT experience in senior roles.

Experience managing a global team.

Proven track record with large program and IT portfolio management.

Experience defining and managing business cases with quantitative metrics.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical IT compliance requirements.

Experience with agile development and DevOps.

Professional IT consulting experience a plus.

Executive Chief of Staff experience a plus.

Strategic and critical thinking skills.

Change management capability.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Collaboration skills, influencing across IT.

Structured thinking for operating improvement opportunities.

Travel Requirements Approximately 15% travel.

Compensation Data Annual starting salary: $236,000 – $309,000, subject to geography, skills, experience, and qualifications.
