Director of Children’s Development Services Family Service Association is looking for a Director of Children’s Development Services for our After School Day Care (ASDC) and Kids Academy (KA) programs. This is a full time (35‑hour per week) position with a Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule, and is budgeted to start between $76,440 – $83,720 annually.

We offer a $1,000 sign‑on bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise Sr. Site Coordinator/Preschool Director regarding daily program operations, including fiscal, personnel, recruiting, staff training, and curriculum development.

Ensure all financial records are accurate and contemporaneous.

Ensure facilities adhere to all governing rules and regulations by conducting routine site visits and collaborating with the Sr. Site Coordinator/Preschool Director to meet each facility’s needs.

Attend, conduct, and participate in meetings, seminars, and training relevant to quality child care.

Develop, initiate and coordinate program policies and procedures; continuously assess for quality improvement and identify performance initiatives.

Build and maintain a healthy team environment.

Maintain program accreditation and licensing.

Collaborate on staff recruiting with the Sr. Site Coordinator/Preschool Director and Human Resources to meet staffing needs.

Monitor and manage vendor contracts to ensure program compliance.

Monitor and manage FSA and CCFA client record databases to keep them current.

Supervise Program Social Workers to ensure clinical and program effectiveness.

Coordinate and supervise all activities related to adjunct programs, e.g., venture grant programming.

Communicate verbally and in writing with various community, state, and federal resources to maintain and/or expand current program capabilities.

Monitor and manage program‑licensing requirements, including all site documentation and school department requirements.

Actively participate as a member of the FSA Management Team.

Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Experience

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, the Arts, Work, Sociology, or Child Care.

EEC Director Certified required.

Must have at least six months’ experience working with school‑age children.

Must have at least six months of administrative experience or evidence of satisfactory completion of at least nine credits in management or administration subject areas from an accredited institution of higher education.

Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
