Job Responsibilities
Provides overall direction and administration of all programs and services at Stuyvesant Town location
Provide and implement the social work services, including screening for benefits and entitlements, refer to the service providers as needed, conduct home visits and develop the care plan for the older residents of Stuyvesant Town
Assumes direct leadership of groups
Provides direct supervision to social work and/or nursing interns
Functions as agency liaison to Community Partners
Maintains records and statistics for Program
Oversees purchasing and inventory of office equipment/supplies and materials and supervises use of equipment and facilities.
Attends community and agency meetings.
To work independently and as a team member.
Qualifications
MSW or any master degree in related field
Experience in human service delivery with an emphasis on aging services as well as an understanding of the NORC Model and community-building activities
Supervisory experience preferable
Excellent writing and record keeping skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
An understanding and appreciation of the roles of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, and individual values as they relate to serving clients and families.
Evenings and/or weekends as assigned by Senior Director or designee.
