About the Role A major aerospace organization in the Dallas area is undertaking a large‑scale SAP transformation and is seeking an experienced
SAP PP/MM Consultant
to support ongoing implementation, integration, and optimization efforts. This is a long‑term project with high visibility and the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead solution design, configuration, and implementation of SAP
PP
and
MM
modules within a complex manufacturing environment.
Support integration between PP/MM and cross‑functional areas including
QM, SD, PS, and Finance .
Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and production teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Drive process improvements related to planning, inventory, procurement, MRP, production execution, and shop‑floor workflows.
Support testing cycles: SIT, UAT, regression testing, and integration testing.
Assist with data migration activities, validation, cutover, and hyper‑care.
Provide production support and troubleshoot issues related to SAP PP/MM configuration and interfaces.
Work closely with technical teams on custom enhancements, reports, and forms (ABAP, integrations, IDocs, etc.).
Document processes, functional designs, and configuration for project deliverables.
Required Experience
8+ years
of hands‑on experience with SAP
PP
and
MM
configuration.
Proven delivery experience in manufacturing‑heavy environments (aerospace, automotive, industrial, or discrete manufacturing preferred).
Strong understanding of
planning strategies, MRP, BOMs, routings, production orders, procurement, inventory management, and warehouse coordination .
Experience working on full lifecycle SAP implementations (at least 2 E2E projects preferred).
Ability to gather requirements and produce detailed functional specifications for development teams.
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
(due to project requirements).
Desired Skills
Experience with
SAP Project Systems (PS) .
Strong
data migration /data validation experience within PP/MM objects.
Working knowledge of
QM, SD, EWM, or APO/IBP
is a plus.
Aerospace or engineering industry experience.
