About The Role We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to oversee all global indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions and entities. This role ensures accurate and timely VAT/GST/sales tax compliance, maintains strong tax controls and documentation, and provides practical advisory support to finance, legal and commercial teams. The manager will handle end‑to‑end indirect tax processes—including filings, reconciliations, audits, system configuration, and the tax treatment of cross‑border transactions—while helping the business navigate complex requirements as we expand into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead global VAT and indirect tax compliance across regulated and non‑regulated entities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation, review and filing of VAT/GST/sales tax returns.
Review cross‑border billing flows to determine correct VAT treatment and place‑of‑supply.
Advise on indirect tax implications of new product launches, insurance and non‑insurance offerings, and transactions between regulated and non‑regulated entities.
Coordinate with external advisors and local tax authorities to resolve technical VAT issues and ensure full compliance with local legislation.
Collaborate with the finance, legal and commercial teams to align VAT positions with corporate structure, billing practices and regulatory licensing obligations.
Oversee ERP and billing system VAT configuration ensuring tax codes, rates, and reporting logic are accurate for both domestic and cross‑border transactions.
Review and reconcile VAT accounts monthly to ensure correct recoverability and posting of input and output VAT.
Develop and maintain VAT control frameworks and internal policies to manage VAT risk, documentation, and audit readiness.
Identify VAT optimisation opportunities, improve recovery ratios and minimise non‑recoverable VAT costs.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; Certified Public Accountant. Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting or a related field preferred.
8+ years of indirect tax experience with a strong focus on VAT/GST/sales tax compliance, advisory, and process management across multiple jurisdictions. Big 4 or large accounting firm background preferred.
Deep technical knowledge of VAT legislation and principles across multiple jurisdictions.
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.

The cash compensation range for this role is $150,000–$180,000. Compensation will vary based on experience.
