Neonatologist Hospitalist – Physician
SGMC Health is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. It operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties, along with ambulance services, a medical office network, a cancer center, hospice, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers, and urgent cares. Key service lines include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women & infants.
Position Description
Schedule: 7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off
Hospital‑based employment
EMR: Epic
Compensation & benefits: competitive base salary, bonus program, health insurance, malpractice insurance, 401(k) with matching, CME support, relocation assistance, sign‑on bonus, and more
Qualifications
Board eligible or certified in Neonatology
Unrestricted medical licensure in Georgia
Proficient in inter‑disciplinary collaboration and communication with referring physicians
Passionate about quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development, and team building
Experience with Epic EMR is a significant plus
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to foster a positive, innovative environment
