We invite an experienced nursing leader to serve as Chief Nursing Officer, driving quality and excellence across our hospitals.

About the Role The Chief Nursing Officer will oversee nursing operations, contribute to strategic decision‑making, and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will lead nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and serve as the nursing voice on key committees.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with all medical, clinical, and therapeutic disciplines to foster a patient‑focused, team‑oriented culture providing superior service and outcomes.

Develop patient care programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring nursing needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.

Represent nursing on committees such as the Governing Body, Quality Council, Med Exec, Infection Control, Education, and Ethics Committees.

Support cultural diversity and maintain an inclusive, respectful work environment.

Cultivate a culture that empowers the hospital to exceed its goals, communicating the mission, holding staff accountable, motivating the team, and driving measurement and assessment.

Implement Joint Commission, CMS, State, rehabilitation nursing, and hospital standards.

Utilize a staffing matrix that considers patient acuity and adjusts staffing to meet budgeted NHPPD, integrating complex data for informed decisions.

Celebrate achievements of staff and patients, reinforcing a culture of success.

Qualifications

Current RN licensure required by state regulations.

BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Commitment to obtain CRRN certification within a year of eligibility.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; advanced degree preferred or required by state regulation.

Five years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting.

Two years of recent (within last five years) nursing management experience with 24‑hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, budget oversight, and disciplinary action.

Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and religious or legal holidays as scheduled.
