role at

Flex .

Flex is a growth‑stage, NYC‑headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the Role Flex has grown our core flexible rent consumer product/business by distributing it through our rapidly expanding network of property management company partners. This core business is growing extremely fast, and we’re ready to take our next swing. We are hiring a strategic and analytical Growth leader to build our direct‑to‑consumer marketing strategy, focused on growing adoption outside of our property network. Reporting to our CMO, you and your team will own and scale all performance marketing efforts across channels, with accountability to end‑to‑end conversion. This is a high‑impact and creative role requiring strong analytical expertise, deep performance marketing knowledge, and big‑picture thinking. You will work cross‑functionally with product, sales, and analytics to develop and execute full‑funnel marketing strategies that drive high‑quality lead generation and optimize cost per acquisition. This is a hybrid position with on‑site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters or 2 days per week in our San Francisco Hub. For candidates outside of the NY/NJ/SF area, you may be eligible for our relocation assistance program.

What You’ll Do

Set the foundation for our growth effort by partnering with analytics on attribution and incrementality testing frameworks.

Deeply understand the Flex business and unit economics to lead budget planning, forecasting, and help set aggressive targets.

Move fast to drive Out Of Network growth, standing up and optimizing channels (digital, podcast, TV, etc.) continuously testing creatives, messaging, and audience targeting to improve performance.

Define and track key performance metrics, leveraging analytics tools like Amplitude, Singular and Sigma to make data‑driven marketing decisions.

Partner with our product team to build and execute referral programs and optimize the end‑to‑end experience.

Key Qualifications

10+ years of experience in growth marketing or performance marketing.

Proven track record of building and scaling growth marketing in a high‑growth D2C business, ideally in the fintech space.

Experience with a variety of channels with a strong expertise in digital marketing.

Deep analytical mindset with experience managing marketing budgets and forecasts, optimizing for ROI and A/B testing to drive growth.

Desire for fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environment.

High attention to detail, including precise and effective communication with senior stakeholders.

Coach‑player mindset — ability to build a high‑performing team while getting hands‑on.

The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $235,000‑264,000.
