Position Summary The Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG) invites you to explore a full‑time OBGYN Midwife Hospitalist opportunity at the nation’s premier dedicated women’s hospital, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. The OHMG Women’s Service Line seeks a Certified Nurse‑Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to a diverse member of our central Florida community, principally covering services to private practice providers. The hospitalist group operates in an exclusively hospital‑based model with time spent at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Lake Mary Hospital, and South Lake Hospital.

Clinical opportunities include labor and delivery, postpartum care, and comprehensive clinical care in our Women’s Triage unit. The hospital is a national leader in Obstetric and Gynecologic care and has received recognition from The Joint Commission, The Leapfrog Group, and U.S. News and World Report.

Our team maintains exceptional clinical infrastructure, including a strong presence of both employed and private practice OBGYN Hospitalist teams, 24/7 OB anesthesia providers and anesthetist resources, in‑house neonatal support for the 142‑bed NICU, and a traveler‑free RN workforce. Comprehensive care is delivered through our OBGYN Hospitalist program and specialty divisions such as Maternal Fetal Medicine, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Breast Medical and Surgical Oncology, and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Responsibilities

Full‑time CNMs enjoy a flexible monthly schedule of 14 clinical twelve‑hour shifts (variable shifts) in a calendar month.

Ability to pick up additional shifts. No on‑call!

Work in an acute care environment where you are truly a member of a care team.

Join a team that provides clinical coverage 24/7 – Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Gynecology, and Obstetrical Triage Department.

Work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice provider colleagues.

Qualifications Education / Training

Master’s degree (or higher) from an accredited program by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME).

Licensure / Certification

Certified Nurse‑Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) renewed every five (5) years.

Active licensure in Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a CNM qualification, renewed every two (2) years per Florida Board of Nursing.

Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification and NRP certification.

Experience

Two (2) years of experience as a practicing CNM; candidates with a strong midwifery or nursing background may be considered.

Preferred experience with first assisting in surgical procedures; willingness to learn this skill is considered.
