Opportunity Information Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC Neonatal Hospitalist to join a premier, integrated practice consisting of neonatologists, neonatal hospitalists and nurse practitioners in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our clinics provide all the advantages of a community-based private practice with the added support of a larger, multispecialty organization. Locations San Francisco, CA & Burlingame, CA
Clinical Sites and Responsibilities California Pacific Medical Center
35‑bed Level III NICU – neonatal in‑patient care, attending deliveries, and night coverage supported by an in‑house neonatal hospitalist team
Active well‑baby service for newborns
Transport services and high‑risk perinatal navigation
Comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support and programs (small baby unit, neurocritical care, neonatal surgery) via partnership with Stanford Children’s Hospital
Mills Peninsula Medical Center
24/7 neonatal inpatient care (mostly Level I) for approximately 1,500 deliveries per year
Coverage of a 6‑bed Level II Special Care Nursery with advanced monitoring
Management of respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding difficulties, and care for premature infants 34 weeks and above
Active well‑baby service and delivery room coverage
Coordination with neonatology, transport, and pediatric specialists
Family‑centered care with parent education and support
Hospitalist work closely with neonatologists, obstetricians, labor and delivery teams to ensure seamless transitions and the highest quality care.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Active California Medical License (preferred or required prior to start)
