Job Summary The Procurement Program Manager – Controls & Harnesses and Electrification is part of the Thermo King Procurement team and will develop and execute Procurement Strategies to support the Engineering COE for Controls, harnesses and electrification. This role will fully engage with our engineering team and partner with category teams to ensure we have the right procurement strategy, including supplier selection, to support profitable growth.
This position will be hybrid based in Minneapolis and will require up to 25% travel.

What Will You Do
Develop Procurement strategy to support the engineering COE in Minneapolis, MN focusing on profitable growth strategy in partnership with Category Management.
Develop Supply Strategy, in alignment with Category team, to support product and manufacturing strategies. Responsible for supplier selection and approval of all business awards and readiness of suppliers for new product development projects.
Implement procurement strategies for controls, harnesses, and electrification projects to meet business objectives and project timelines.
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with procurement activities.
Accountable for team’s utilization of standard work including project tracking and documentation. Actively engage with team members to eliminate roadblocks and elevate issues appropriately.
Ensure alignment of commodity strategies with technology requirements and share controls and electrification specific strategies with commodity teams.
Provide requirements & feedback on supplier contracts & negotiations as part of pre‑negotiations and post‑negotiations process.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, PMP) is a plus.
Minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on controls, harness, and electrification.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and driving cost savings.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In‑depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and developing team members.
Experience in international sourcing is a plus.
Experience in supplier development, materials management, and/or supplier quality is a plus.
Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience developing and driving strategies.
Ability to influence and collaborate with other functions and leaders.
Experience running large complex cross‑functional projects.
Global project management experience is a plus.
Compensation Base Pay Range: $80,000 – $130,000
