Overview
The Director-Program Management is a key role within the Global Program Management team and part of the Global Product Innovation (GPI) organization. The role is responsible for bringing multiple, often complex, products to global markets. Work Mode & Location
Work Mode: Onsite. Location: Onsite – Kohler, WI. Responsibilities
Product Strategy, New Product Schedule and Roadmaps:
Work with global and regional marketing teams to develop a New Product Schedule (NPS) aligned to business strategy, driving growth, profitability and vitality. Lead the creation of a program of new projects over a rolling five-year period for one or more categories. Deliver programs to global markets on time, cost and quality while minimizing company resources. Leadership & Team Management:
Lead a global team of project managers across multiple locations worldwide. Identify and communicate actions needed to implement new product development plans across functions and stakeholders. Supervise day‑to‑day activities, provide vision and implement corporate values. Mobilize the organization to execute on strategy and meet deliverables. Manage hiring, training and performance of the team. Budget Management and KPI Monitoring:
Work with finance to create capital and development expense budgets and track progress. Monitor new product development performance against cost objectives, operating expense budgets and recommend corrective budget changes. Develop program‑management methodology, key metrics and dashboards. Report performance and enforce accountability. Best Practice Adoption:
Create initiatives to reduce time‑to‑market YoY. Build and right‑size program‑management processes and systems for efficiency. Stay current on competitor products and emerging industrial processes. Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate proactively with Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Design, Regional Directors and other functional areas. Remove organizational bottlenecks and communicate effectively across all stakeholders. Evaluate feasibility of project concepts, leverage external consultants and maintain executive‑level relationships. Decision Making & Problem Solving:
Use analytical tools to identify issues, plan contingencies and solve problems. Drive decision making to meet business strategy and deliver results in a high‑matrix environment. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, Marketing, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 7 + years’ experience in Program Management, with proven success in driving business results and continuous improvement. Proven leadership experience leading multi‑cultural, multi‑national engineering teams. International working experience preferred. Strong communication skills and presence. Ability to select, develop and motivate top talent for maximum efficiencies. Ability to accommodate heavy international travel and work in different regions.
