Who You Are You’re a data leader who blends analytical craftsmanship with systems thinking. You believe great insight work comes from the right combination of clear logic, beautiful storytelling, and a reliable data foundation. You’ve led high-performing BI, analytics engineering, and governance teams and know how to turn them into a cohesive ecosystem that delivers clarity.

You have a deep respect for the craft of analysis and visualization, but you also think in systems: how people, tools, and processes interact to create leverage. You thrive on building strong partnerships with senior leaders and helping them use data as a strategic asset, not just a support tool.

You balance craft and executive presence equally comfortable reviewing a metric definition or framing a narrative for an executive audience. You bring clarity and prioritization to complex ecosystems and know how to manage the “external operating system”: the expectations, relationships, and rhythms that keep the business aligned around truth and insight.

Your Success Profile What You Will Work On

Strengthen and unify the data insight ecosystem - ensuring Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, and Governance functions operate as an integrated system that delivers trusted, actionable insight.

Advance data trust and quality through scalable governance frameworks, standardized metric definitions, and transparent lineage practices that enable speed and confidence in decision-making.

Evolve the analytics operating system, designing the processes, standards, and feedback loops that make analytics work sustainable, high-quality, and high-impact.

Elevate the craft and clarity of insights, supporting teams in improving how data stories are structured, visualized, and communicated across the business.

Partner with senior executives and functional leaders to translate strategic priorities into clear analytical direction and ensure decision-makers have the information they need to act with confidence.

Coach and develop high-performing talent across BI, analytics engineering, and governance, fostering a culture of rigor, curiosity, and accountability.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Engineering and Data Science leadership to ensure upstream systems and downstream models integrate seamlessly into a coherent, reliable analytics layer.

Champion a data culture where governance, modeling, and insight delivery reinforce one another to drive clarity, consistency, and business impact.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in data or analytics leadership, including at least 5 years managing multi-disciplinary teams across Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Governance.

Proven success building and scaling systems and operating models for analytics and data enablement balancing rigor with agility.

Experience researching and driving decisions related to BI tooling decisions that support a wide range of stakeholder needs.

Strong understanding of the modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Looker/Mode/Hex, Atlan, etc.) and how data modeling, semantic layers, and governance come together to support business insight.

Deep commitment to the craft of analysis and storytelling, with a thoughtful approach to developing frameworks and standards that improve clarity and impact.

Strong executive presence and communication skills - able to translate complex data concepts into simple, strategic narratives.

Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership, aligning data producers and data consumers around shared definitions and priorities.

A systems developer mindset - comfortable diagnosing organizational friction and designing the structures, workflows, and rituals that scale analytics excellence.

A reputation for building high-talent, high-trust teams and developing the next generation of analytics leaders.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $270,000 to $324,000 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
