Cardiovascular Technologist
Part Time
– 10‑hour days with required on‑call duties. Hourly pay ranges from $75.68 to $94.10.
Job Summary Under the direction of the Adult Cardiac Catheterization & Electrophysiology Unit Director, the Cardiovascular Technologist is a procedural team member that assists in the pre‑, intra‑, and post‑procedural care of patients undergoing Electrophysiology/Cardiac Catheterization, structural heart, and/or vascular procedures. Responsibilities include independently performing radiologic duties, troubleshooting, and operating radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce procedural images. The Technologist works closely with the UCSF Radiation Safety Officer to monitor radiation protocols and maintains radiation safety training for staff and fellows. Additional duties include ensuring adequate supply of stock, scrubbing‑in for surgical portions of procedures, circulating non‑sterile portions of procedures, documenting on the GE Mac/Cardio lab systems, and training students and new hires.
Department Description UCSF Health Stanyan Hospital is a full‑service hospital located in San Francisco. The campus houses a cardiac catheterization laboratory, orthopedic and spine care, a cancer center, surgery services, and comprehensive physical rehab and therapy programs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of radiologic technician experience in Cardiac Cath/EP labs or OR/Hybrid OR Interventional Radiology labs.
California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
California State Fluoroscopy Permit.
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS.
Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations, rotate shifts, and cover weekends and holidays.
Willingness to participate in the call rotation as directed by departmental needs.
Preferred Qualifications
RCIS certification.
ARRT VI or ARRT CI.
Experience with GE MacLab/Cardiolab.
Hybrid OR experience.
Experience with Philips and/or Siemens fluoroscopy equipment.
Proficient in personal computer applications.
