Position Summary:
We are seeking an ERP Programmer Analyst to provide hands‑on technical support and development for Epicor Prophet 21 (P21). This role is primarily technical (80%) with responsibilities including SQL development, ERP configuration, system integrations, and upgrade testing. The analyst will also collaborate with business users and functional support analysts to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ERP customizations within Prophet 21 (Dynachanges, Reports, and Forms).
Write, test, and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and application functionality.
Develop and maintain integrations between P21 and external systems (e.g., Salesforce, logistics, payment processors).
Support ERP software upgrades, patches, and testing across development, test, and production environments.
Assist with data migration, validation, and cleansing activities.
Troubleshoot ERP‑related issues and provide root‑cause analysis and resolution.
Collaborate with functional support analysts and business users to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Provide technical support for ERP‑related hardware such as barcode scanners, label printers, and office printers.
Document technical processes, customizations, and integrations for IT knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of technical ERP experience, preferably with Epicor Prophet 21.
Proficiency with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Experience configuring and developing Prophet 21 Dynachanges, Reports, and Forms.
Familiarity with .NET (C# or VB.NET) and APIs for ERP integrations.
Experience with ERP upgrades, testing, and environment management.
Understanding of ERP modules such as Order Entry, Purchasing, Inventory, Financial applications/Accounting functions, and Service.
Experience supporting ERP‑related hardware (scanners, printers, peripherals).
Preferred Skills
Experience with ERP cloud migrations or major upgrade projects.
Knowledge of distribution or manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with ticketing/project tracking tools (JIRA, Monday.com, Azure DevOps).
Experience with BI/reporting tools such as SSRS or Power BI.
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills to work effectively with functional analysts and end‑users.
Great customer service skills and a quick thinker who is motivated to resolve user issues.
Ability to balance multiple technical projects in a fast‑paced environment.
High attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality solutions.
