Apply for the Global Solution Architect role and help guide large, complex Data Center projects from bid to execution.

The solution architect will guide the technical team during bid response, work with the application quotation teams, and coordinate with the delivery team to ensure the project’s technical objectives are captured through scope, schedule, and budget.

Hybrid schedule – 2‑3 days in the office with remote work possible within the U.S.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Set, coordinate, and communicate the overall project engineering/technical strategy in alignment with customer expectations.

Evaluate technical specifications and deliverables (power distribution, control, and automation system architecture) for the customer response.

Guide the development of the technical solution to ensure constructability, function, and value, optimizing for quality, cost, timeliness, and completeness.

Ensure understanding of the technical performance of the solution and its fit with customer requirements.

Define the project’s technical work scope and breakdown structure, including organization and coordination of the project’s technical/quotation team.

Collaborate with procurement for third‑party scope, specifying and verifying supply specifications with quality and economic requirements.

Drive technical/quotation teams to confirm with internal suppliers and service providers that full scope is provided while considering schedule and budget.

Compile technical clarifications and exceptions into project level detail, delivering documents in customer‑ready format to the tender team.

Lead technical design review meetings with customers and the technical/quotation team.

Actively participate in the tender capture team to share technical solutions and adjacencies.

Assess and feed the project’s technical risk into the overall risk understanding, providing strategies to eradicate or minimize risks.

Coordinate and deliver the technical offer and associated documents, including bills of material, drawings, and pricing breakdowns.

Defend the choice of technical solution to the customer and participate in negotiations as needed.

Remain engaged through project booking to ensure optimum technical execution team set‑up and knowledge transfer.

Provide subject‑matter expertise support to program managers and team members during execution.

Support the organization in refining project tools and processes.

Qualifications

15+ years of engineering experience on large construction projects, culminating in leading project/engineering teams.

BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management.

Professional Engineering license preferred.

Demonstrated leadership in consulting, EPC, general contracting, large electrical contracting, and end‑user environments.

Comprehensive project cost estimating and value engineering experience.

Strong ability to evaluate and optimize multi‑discipline engineering requirements of large projects.

Proficiency in navigating complexity and managing uncertainty with strong problem‑solving skills.

Fundamental understanding of the engineering design process and ability to apply concepts in accelerated environments.

Preferred knowledge of Schneider Electric products and services, especially MV/LV electrical distribution, automation, monitoring, control & security systems for buildings and industrial applications.

Experience in installation, commissioning services, and project delivery.

Customer‑focused and results‑oriented mindset.

High attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
