Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer – Generative AI Service (IC4) at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Lead the design, development, and operation of large‑scale, distributed, high‑performance AI model training and serving systems that power Enterprise customers worldwide.

Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, implementation, and ownership of distributed, scalable AI model training and serving systems.
Optimize model structure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with applied scientists to deploy cutting‑edge AI solutions into production.
Drive process improvements and best practices for quality code delivery and operations.
Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of learning and technical excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5+ years shipping scalable, cloud‑native distributed systems.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Hands‑on experience with production operations, quality practices, and troubleshooting in production.
Clear written and verbal technical communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Computer Science.
Production experience with cloud computing.
Experience with LLM serving technologies (DeepSpeed, FasterTransformer, etc.).
Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow and with model serving platforms (KServe, KubeFlow, Triton, etc.).
Experience with LLM fine‑tuning, including parameter‑efficient techniques and multi‑task serving.
Strong troubleshooting skills for AI training and serving pipelines.
