As the leader of the Gen AI Engineering team within Cat Digital, you will direct the development of innovative generative AI solutions such as intelligent agents and digital assistants. Your role will shape the next generation of AI‑driven experiences for our customers and dealers, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality, innovation, and impact.

What You Will Do

Provide technical leadership and clear direction to align the team with company goals and ensure delivery of advanced AI projects.

Manage resources efficiently to keep projects on schedule and to the highest quality.

Oversee performance of team members, fostering a culture of learning and identifying training and development needs.

Establish and enforce engineering best practices to maintain consistency and excellence in development processes.

Own the quality of engineering products, ensuring all solutions are robust, reliable, and meet rigorous standards.

What You Will Have

Analytical Thinking: Expertise in analytical techniques and tools, and a proven ability to diagnose root causes and develop effective solutions.

Emerging Technologies: Deep knowledge of new technologies, with the skill to design, evaluate, and apply them in business environments.

Innovation: A track record of creating and deploying novel ideas that enhance organizational performance.

Organizational Leadership: Ability to apply leadership concepts to engage stakeholders and achieve objectives.

Machine Learning: Strong foundation in ML principles, technologies, and algorithms, with experience delivering ML products and services.

Considerations for Top Candidates

Advanced degree in statistics, data science, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field is highly desired.

Demonstrated experience delivering Gen AI solutions as an individual contributor or as a manager/lead.

Competency in coaching Data Scientists in statistical model creation, validation, and delivery of digital solutions.

Experience leading analytics projects that connect data from multiple domains and provide actionable forecasts and insights.

Strong initiative in researching and applying new methods and digital technologies to exceed customer expectations.

Highly developed interpersonal communication, delegation, project management, and organizational skills.

Location and Work Options Available offices: Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; or Irving, TX. You may be based in any of these locations.

Relocation is available for this position. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Compensation Summary Pay Range: $144,960.00 – $235,440.00. Compensation and benefits vary based on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, and experience. Salary is one component of total compensation.
