Title Technical Accounting Manager
Location Burlington, MA - Fully Remote but must be able to go to Boston a few times a year/once or so a quarter

Requirements
~5+ years of technical accounting experience (public, private, or a mix of both)
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting initiatives, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC compliance, and support the development and implementation of accounting policies across the organization. This role will partner cross-functionally with Finance, R&D, Legal, Operations, and external advisors to provide guidance on new or unusual transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Handle technical accounting research and analysis on complex or non-routine transactions, including revenue arrangements, software, R&D, leases, equity instruments, M&A, impairments, and intercompany activities
Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and whitepapers to support audit requirements and internal documentation standards
Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, FP&A, Treasury, Tax) to evaluate accounting implications of business initiatives and contracts
Own and update the company’s accounting policies in accordance with evolving business needs and regulatory standards
Monitor and assess the impact of new or updated accounting standards
Support internal audit and external audit requests related to technical areas
Assist with training and development of the broader accounting team on complex accounting topics and new policies
Drive process improvements and contribute to finance transformation initiatives
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, MSA / MBA a plus
4-5+ years of public accounting and / or corporate experience at SEC registered entities
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Proficiency with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, MS Windows and MS Office Software, especially Excel
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Deadline oriented with attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple projects
Team player and collaborative
Experience with SAP a plus
