$150,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced tax professional to lead and build its in-house tax function. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of the tax department in a top-tier financial services firm and work directly with senior leadership and globally recognized investors. Overview

This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role offering the ability to build out the tax function. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, hands-on experience, and a passion for leading and mentoring a growing team. The role offers a unique blend of technical challenge and executive exposure, making it a career-defining opportunity. Key Responsibilities

Serve as the firm’s most senior tax leader with full ownership of the tax function. Lead and mentor a small but growing tax team, currently consisting of two professionals. Oversee the relationship with a major external tax advisory firm, involving over $1 million in annual engagement fees. Collaborate directly with senior executives, including C‑suite leadership, on tax‑related matters. Partner with sophisticated private equity and institutional investors on key tax strategies and compliance. Play a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s continued national and international expansion. Ideal Candidate Profile

6+ years of relevant tax experience in corporate environments, Big Four/public accounting preferred. Strong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A strategic mindset, with the ability to roll up sleeves and execute. CPA or equivalent preferred. Additional Information

Location:

Hybrid role based in South Carolina (relocation support provided). Candidates must be willing to relocate if out of state. Schedule:

Hybrid schedule applies: four days onsite (Mon–Thurs), one remote (Fri). Compensation & Benefits:
