Key Responsibilities
Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure across public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and on‑premises data centers.
Design and Implement CI/CD: Develop, maintain, and optimize robust automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to ensure fast, reliable, and secure software releases for applications deployed across both environments.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and integrate them with tools for managing on‑premises hardware/VMs.
Containerization and Orchestration: Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (or similar tools like OpenShift) in both cloud and on‑premises clusters.
Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and provision resources using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) for both physical and virtual machines.
Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk) to ensure high availability across the entire infrastructure footprint.
Virtualization: Manage and maintain virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V) used in the on‑premises environment.
Security: Integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into the CI/CD process and ensure security compliance for both cloud and on‑premises systems.
Troubleshooting: Act as an escalation point for production issues, rapidly diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure and application problems in the hybrid environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role, with experience managing large‑scale production environments.
Hybrid Infrastructure: Demonstrated experience in managing and integrating on‑premises infrastructure with public cloud services.
Cloud Proficiency: Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
On‑Prem Expertise: Expert‑level knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Hyper‑V.
IaC Expertise: Strong practical experience with Terraform or a similar IaC tool.
Container Technology: Deep understanding and hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Configuration Management: Proficiency with a tool like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python or Bash).
Operating Systems: Expert‑level understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems.
Networking: Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts (VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancing, VPNs) in a data center context.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
Familiarity with database administration (SQL and NoSQL).
Prior experience in a high‑availability, 24/7 production environment.
DevSecOps Tooling: Hands‑on experience integrating and managing static analysis security testing (SAST) tools, specifically Synopsys Coverity, within the CI/CD pipeline.
Open Source Security: Experience implementing and utilizing Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools, specifically Synopsys BlackDuck, for managing open‑source licenses, vulnerabilities, and security risks.
Experience with Storage Area Networks (SANs) and network‑attached storage (NAS) solutions.
Experience implementing and managing hybrid cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute).
Familiarity with hardware lifecycle management and data center best practices.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, AWS/Azure/GCP DevOps certifications).
