Enterprise Logging Solution (ELS) Lead with Security Clearance
Tyto Athene is searching for an Enterprise Logging Solution (ELS) Lead to support a law enforcement customer in Ashburn, VA. You will play a critical role in managing, architecting, and optimizing enterprise logging solutions in support of a Federal Government security operations environment. The ELS Lead will provide technical leadership, design guidance, and operational oversight for logging infrastructure, ensuring the organization maintains a robust, secure, and scalable logging capability.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise logging solutions to support security operations and compliance requirements.
Apply project management principles to plan, coordinate, and execute logging-related initiatives across interconnected and heterogeneous systems.
Administer and optimize enterprise IT applications and systems in Windows and Linux environments.
Ensure that all systems, applications, and security events across the enterprise are properly logged, monitored, and analyzed to support security operations, compliance, and incident response.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Linux and/or Windows scripting languages to streamline logging operations and administration.
Provide subject matter expertise in networking, enterprise security, and cloud orchestration.
Architect and manage logging solutions in cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Serve as a senior Splunk Administrator or Architect, responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Splunk deployments.
Collaborate with Federal Government security operations teams to ensure logging solutions meet operational, compliance, and security requirements.
Evaluate new logging technologies and provide recommendations for enhancing enterprise logging capabilities.
Qualifications Required
Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior Splunk Administrator or Architect.
Strong experience in enterprise IT environments as an applications or systems administrator.
Practical knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration.
Experience with Linux or Windows scripting languages and automation.
Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
Experience with cloud orchestration and a strong understanding of AWS cloud services.
Experience supporting Federal Government security operations or compliance-driven environments.

CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
GCFA – GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst
GCFE – GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner
GREM – GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware
