GTN Technical Staffing
Role:
Solutions Architect
Location:
US, Dallas (Hybrid)
About the Role As a Solutions Architect, you'll serve as the strategic lead in designing, delivering, and evolving software solutions for enterprise clients. You'll translate business goals and customer needs into scalable architecture frameworks, promote consistency across teams, and enable the delivery of robust mobile, web, and cloud systems-primarily leveraging Azure and modern microservice-based architectures. Collaboration is key: you'll work closely with product, delivery, and engineering teams across time zones to ensure solutions are aligned with business vision, cost-effective, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
What You'll Do
Define and own the technical vision and architecture for one or more solution streams
Design end-to-end systems (web, mobile, APIs, integrations, data flows) and articulate component interfaces and interactions
Drive architecture runway tasks and evaluate alternatives through prototyping, PoCs, and experimentation
Translate product requirements into architectural stories and technical enablers in collaboration with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and Application Architects
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum of Scrums, Program Planning, Solution Demos) to unblock teams and guide architectural decisions
Mentor and influence engineering teams to follow architectural guidelines, coding practices, and design consistency
Continuously evolve the architecture based on feedback, changing requirements, and emerging technologies
Identify risks, make trade-offs, and guide critical decisions around performance, security, cost, and scalability
What You Bring
8-10 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, designing enterprise-scale systems
6-8 years of hands-on software engineering experience - you understand what it takes to build it
Expertise in multi-tier architecture, SOA, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
Practical experience with Azure (IaaS & PaaS), including serverless, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native design
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (or equivalents)
Strong knowledge across architecture domains: data, application, security, integration, and information
Ability to make sound technical decisions under ambiguity and communicate trade-offs clearly
Excellent communication skills - comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (US clients, leadership, cross-functional teams)
Self-driven, proactive, and adept at working across multiple Agile teams
Preferred: Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud, mobile app architecture, or domain expertise in retail, fintech, or e-commerce
