Senior Rail Transit Project Manager – HDR
HDR is a leading integrated design‑build firm that develops innovative transportation solutions. This senior project manager will lead multidisciplinary rail transit projects from initiation through close‑out, shaping systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate work of single or multi‑discipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Manage large multi‑discipline or medium‑sized highly technical projects, producing and coordinating several projects concurrently.
Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
Coordinate staffing, workload, and deliverables to ensure schedule completion.
Track financial aspects; adjust work effort to remain within agreed budget and schedule.
Collaborate with Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
Implement QA/QC procedures.
Supervise large project staffs and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
PMP certification.
Hawaii registered PE for the last 5 years.
20 years of related experience.
5 years of registered professional civil engineering experience.
Previous experience in dealing with FTA funded projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
10 years related experience.
Minimum 5 years project management experience.
Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position.
MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus).
Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
