About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Director of People Operations to join the team, reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate is a highly strategic, seasoned, and people‑centric HR leader who brings both empathy and high standards. This person must be exceptional in recruitment, capable of creating a high‑performance and collaborative culture, and building the team and process we need for our next phase of growth.
We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, startup environment. This individual can collaborate with the founder and executive leadership and bring a strong yet empathetic presence to the team. Beyond recruitment, this role will be responsible for building and shaping our team for our next phase of growth. They will help us elevate standards and expectations, set team KPIs and manage annual review processes, play a large part in org chart design, and more.
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced, strategic leader who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in a fast‑paced, startup environment.
What You’ll Do
Build and lead a high‑quality, efficient internal talent acquisition process that consistently delivers top‑tier talent
Partner with hiring managers to write job descriptions, define scopes, and assess candidates
Build an outbound, proactive pipeline of qualified candidates for each role
Partner with external agencies for remote or overseas roles
Ensure leadership and management teams actively manage performance by setting clear expectations
Build and foster a culture of accountability and high performance
Own, refine, and manage the annual performance review, bonus compensation, and KPI program to properly manage company, department, and individual performance
Field questions and issues from employees and resolve day‑to‑day issues in relation to compensation, and general people operations inquiries
Provide coaching to managers of all levels on addressing a variety of people issues while effectively mitigating business risk and advocating for employees
Oversee and maintain people related systems (including HRIS), ensure programs and processes are compliant with federal, state and local regulations
Own the onboarding experience for new employees
Own and maintain the employee handbook
Spearhead planning for company‑wide events and parties
Salary $190,000-$225,000
