Lead all store operations, ensuring company standards and best practices are implemented and maintained. Recruit, train, and develop leadership staff and associates to drive sales and profitable results while maintaining a friendly retail environment. Manage the stockroom, front end, and sales floor to ensure merchandise is timely and accurately presented. Analyze store reports, control expenses, and address variance with appropriate action plans. Oversee payroll administration, scheduling, and compliance with labor regulations. Promote a safe and secure environment, ensuring adherence to safety policies and emergency procedures. Implement customer service and merchandise presentation programs, coaching associates for efficient and friendly service. Lead loss prevention initiatives, including training, inventory process, and stock‑out policy enforcement. Maintain store appearance, housekeeping, and adherence to the dress code. Represent and support the Ross brand, ensuring a clean, organized, and engaging shopping experience. Organizational Development

Recruit, hire, train, and develop Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors, and associates. Implement retention tools such as incentive programs, recognition, contests, and training. Address personnel and performance issues, including coaching, warnings, progressive discipline, and termination when necessary. Ensure compliance with all Ross policies, personnel procedures, and legal regulations. Consult with the District Manager on associate relations issues. Expense Control

Lead all expenditures to stay within budget and control payroll hours. Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment

Enforce company safety policies and verify all associates can execute emergency procedures. Customer Service

Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and professionalism. Implement customer service and merchandise presentation programs through training and supervision. Coach associates to provide efficient and friendly service at registers, service desks, fitting rooms, and the sales floor. Personal And Store Brand

Model professional appearance and enforce the dress code. Represent and support the Ross brand at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Ensure high standards of housekeeping with maintenance personnel and associates. Merchandise Processing and In‑Store Marketing

Coordinate recovery, sizing, and markdowns per company standards. Ensure merchandise is presented and organized according to merchandising guidelines. Manage the timely movement of merchandise to the sales floor. Loss Prevention

Train associates on loss prevention to achieve store loss‑shortage goals. li>Maintain integrity and confidentiality of cash, credit, and merchandise.

Engage customers and associates to maintain heightened loss‑prevention awareness. Lead the annual inventory process and monitor stock‑out policy compliance. Competencies

Five or more years of store management experience in a retail environment. High level of customer service. Strong leadership, motivation, and communication skills. Ability to train, coach, and develop associates. Organize and prioritize tasks to achieve results. Fluency in English. Judgment and discretion in decision making. Availability to work evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements / ADA

Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs. Stand, walk, and move up to 100% of working time. Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Occasionally push, pull, and lift >25 lbs. Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other tools. Perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail. Supervisory Responsibilities
