AI Recruitment Consultant @ Lumicity | Recruiting Researchers & Engineers with Foundational AI Experience This is a hardcore backend/data infrastructure job for a robotics startup.
You’re the person who builds and maintains the massive data pipelines that power their robots’ autonomy. The robots generate huge amounts of sensor data, and your job is to collect it, move it around, process it efficiently, and make it usable for their ML and robotics engineers.
What the job really is:
Build the entire data backbone for the company, from ingesting raw robot data to preparing it for training ML models.
Work on extremely large systems (petabytes of data, thousands of machines), so this is real distributed systems engineering, not light ETL.
Fix hard infra problems quickly, networking, Kubernetes, scaling, data reliability, performance bottlenecks, etc.
Work closely with ML and platform teams to make sure data can flow smoothly into model training and evaluation.
Move fast in a very demanding environment. They want engineers who can think quickly, debug anything, and handle chaos.
You’re building the data plumbing and compute systems that make the robots smarter, and you’re doing it at massive scale with a tiny, elite team that works fast.
