Sales Engineer | Industrial Sensors | Northeast (Remote)
We’re supporting a
U.S.-based leader in photoelectric and industrial sensor technology
as they expand their commercial team. They are seeking an experienced
Sales Engineer / Account Executive
to grow their
Northeast territory , working remotely while supporting customers across the region.
This role combines account management and new business development, with a strong focus on OEMs, system integrators, and distribution partners. The organization values long-term relationship building and understands that complex automation sales can involve extended sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a defined Northeast territory of OEMs, integrators, and channel partners
Develop strong relationships at multiple levels within customer organizations
Identify, qualify, and close solution-based opportunities for industrial sensor applications
Conduct on-site customer visits, technical demos, and product training
Collaborate with applications engineering on evaluations and customized solutions
Support distributors and help drive mutual growth
Accurately forecast and manage opportunities using CRM tools
Attend regional trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
Partner with teammates across territories on multi-region projects
What they’re looking for:
5+ years of technical or industrial automation sales experience
Strong background in
photoelectric, ultrasonic, or laser sensors
Proven success in consultative, solution-based selling
Experience working with OEMs, system integrators, and distributors
Technical degree preferred (Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience)
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to work independently and travel up to
40–50%
within the region
