Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Developed a segmentation engine that personalizes interactions at scale (40M+ consumers, 10% MoM growth)

Enabled use of multiple LLMs for a single interaction, optimized performance and reduced costs
Onboarded major e‑commerce brands (Backcountry, J. Jill, Fabletics, Sur La Table)
We’d like to work on
Refining AI infrastructure for deeper segmentation, customer memory, and advanced workflows
Enhancing the AI conversation engine for self‑optimizing interactions
Expanding self‑service capabilities for seamless brand access
Expanding image creation capabilities to broaden email mediums and increase adoption
Role Responsibilities
Serve as a hands‑on engineering leader, dedicating ~80% to IC‑level contributions
Architect and maintain scalable, reliable backend infrastructure enabling real‑time AI communications
Lead and mentor a growing engineering team, fostering technical excellence and ownership
Drive architectural decisions and technical roadmap in partnership with founding team
Design core infrastructure supporting AI‑native applications (multi‑agent workflows, model routing, real‑time feedback loops)
Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design, and data to prioritize high‑impact features
Balance speed with technical rigor in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
What We’re Looking For (ideally)
8+ years of backend engineering with deep architectural ownership
Track record building and scaling backend systems in fast‑growing SaaS, messaging, or e‑commerce environments
Experience with TypeScript (NestJS) and AWS‑based infrastructure
AI‑first mindset and instinctive preference for AI‑native solutions
Deep experience or interest in LLMOps and AI application infrastructure
Excitement about using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot)
Leading or mentoring small, high‑performing engineering teams
Pragmatic, adaptable, wearing many hats
