Job Details Annual Salary $90,000.00

Responsibilities

Design cost-effective control systems for custom machinery, including component selection, circuit design, safety analysis, and technical documentation.

Understand and adhere to project specifications, including mechanical and software requirements, to implement suitable hardware solutions.

Generate electrical schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams, and control panel layouts.

Communicate effectively with purchasing to ensure accurate and timely procurement of commercial components.

Coordinate with shop personnel during the electrical assembly of control systems and machines.

Ensure electrical designs and assembly adhere to relevant regulatory standards.

Support control system start-up and debug.

Complete redline changes to create documentation turnover packages.

Personal Responsibilities

Work proactively, with minimum supervision, to complete projects on time and within budget.

Motivate self and others in a positive and professional manner.

Collaborate effectively with procurement, project managers, engineers, and assembly personnel within a project team.

Understand and effectively communicate project status and potential obstacles to success.

Business Support & Development

Keep current with technology, engineering methods, and standards within the automation industry.

Actively participate in ongoing process improvement by adhering to engineering standards, procedural audits, and project design reviews.

Participate in the implementation of new engineering methods and technologies.

Facilitate the professional development of self and colleagues by constructively sharing lessons learned through project successes and failures.

Qualifications

2 years prepping engineering documentation including Electrical Schematics, Bills of Material, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams and Operator Maintenance.

2 Years design of electrical control systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution, PLC configuration, and machine safety.
