Position Summary A-Z Bus Sales is seeking an experienced and driven Territory Sales Manager to represent our Commercial and Transit Bus Division in Texas. This role is ideal for a relationship-focused professional with strong business development skills and a passion for serving public sector clients. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the sales cycle, prospecting, consultative selling, bidding, and closing deals within a defined geographic territory.
You will be responsible for building lasting relationships with government agencies, municipalities, public transit authorities, and private organizations, providing solutions tailored to their unique fleet and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve territory sales goals and market share growth.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory, focusing on state, county, and municipal agencies, as well as private fleet operators.
Maintain a strong understanding of A‑Z Bus Sales’ product lines, including commercial, transit, and alternative‑fuel buses.
Prepare and deliver proposals, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and manage the bidding process in compliance with government procurement standards.
Conduct product demonstrations, customer visits, and vehicle presentations throughout the territory.
Collaborate with internal departments including Service, Parts, and Marketing to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, tracking pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and customer communications.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and regional events to promote the A‑Z Bus Sales brand.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience in commercial vehicles, fleet sales, or transportation-related industries.
Proven success selling to government agencies or public sector clients preferred.
Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ processes and contract-based sales.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
Willingness to travel frequently throughout Texas.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
Valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
