Job Description
Director of MICE and Weddings (based in the USA, preferably in South Florida) Job Summary As the Director of MICE and Weddings for our All-Inclusive hotels, you lead the way in creating memorable meetings, conferences, and wedding celebrations. In this role, you combine smart planning with hands‑on teamwork to drive sales, build strong client connections, and deliver exceptional events. You develop sales strategies, manage budgets, and motivate your team to reach revenue targets. By partnering with top suppliers and industry experts, you make sure every event runs smoothly and delights our guests.
Key Skills / Responsibilities
Sales & Strategy: Develop and implement annual sales plans and forecasts for MICE and wedding business to meet revenue targets.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve financial and non‑financial goals, ensuring high‑quality standards.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, build strong relationships, and conduct site inspections and familiarization programs.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, analyze market data, and adapt sales strategies to market changes.
Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with key hotel partners, venues, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), and other suppliers.
Budget & Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes by maintaining pipeline management tools and statistics.
Event Coordination: Oversee the sales process from lead generation to contract closing, ensuring seamless coordination between sales and operations.
Education & Experience
A minimum of 5 years in a sales or management role within the MICE, luxury hospitality, or event management sectors.
Proven customer and sales focus, with excellent communication and negotiation skills to build client relationships and close deals.
Ability to analyze market trends, develop marketing plans, and create innovative ideas to increase business.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, client relationships, and event logistics simultaneously.
Understanding of the international MICE and wedding markets, particularly within the luxury segment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with an advantage for additional language proficiency.
